Handcrafted from 3 layers of imported Italian cowhide, this tawse is thick, firm and heavy. It delivers a strong, sharp impact with plenty of weight behind every swing.
The three leather layers are saddle stitched together for strength. All edges are rounded and polished smooth for a clean finish.
The solid handle gives you a secure grip and good control, while the leather wrist loop makes it easy to carry or hang with the rest of your impact collection.

How does it feel?

The heavy three-layer construction gives the tawse plenty of authority, while the three narrow tails concentrate the impact across separate points. Expect a strong, sharp sting backed by the weight of thick leather.
A little history
The tawse was once widely used for corporal punishment in Scottish schools. Teachers used the thick leather strap to punish students, and it became one of the best-known school punishment tools in Scotland.
School corporal punishment was phased out in the 1980s. Today, the tawse is mainly seen as a historical item, collector’s piece, and specialised impact-play tool.
